Step 1 – Open Gmail Settings
Open Gmail.
Click the Settings icon (⚙️) in the top-right corner.
Select See all settings.
Step 2 – Add a Forwarding Address
Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
Click Add a forwarding address.
Enter your Caresquare forwarding email address (provided in the Settings dashboard in Caresquare).
Click Next.
Click Proceed to confirm.
Step 3 – Verify the Forwarding Address
Google will send a verification email to your Caresquare forwarding address.
Open Caresquare and locate the verification email.
Copy the verification code (or click the verification link if provided).
Return to Gmail → Settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
Enter the verification code and click Verify.
Step 4 – Enable Automatic Forwarding
Once the forwarding address has been verified:
In the Forwarding and POP/IMAP settings, select:
Forward a copy of incoming mail to: your Caresquare forwarding address
Choose what Gmail should do with the original email. We recommend:
Keep Gmail’s copy in the Inbox (recommended), or
Archive Gmail’s copy if you prefer a cleaner inbox.
Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
Testing Your Setup
To confirm everything is working:
Send a test invoice to your Gmail address.
Wait a few moments for Gmail to forward the email automatically.
Check your Caresquare inbox to ensure the invoice has been received and processed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will forwarding remove emails from Gmail?
No. Forwarding simply sends a copy of the email to Caresquare. The original email remains in your Gmail account unless you choose another action.
Can I stop forwarding later?
Yes. Return to Settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP, disable forwarding or remove the forwarding address, then click Save Changes.
Can I forward only certain emails?
Yes. Gmail filters allow you to automatically forward only emails that match specific senders, subjects, or other criteria. This is recommended if you only want invoices sent to Caresquare.
