Email Delivery Status Guide

When checking the delivery status of an email, you may see different status labels. Here’s what each one means:

Updated today

Statuses :

Undelivered

The email was not successfully sent to the recipient.


Bounced

The email reached the recipient’s server but was rejected.

Delivered

The email was successfully delivered to the recipient’s inbox.

Opened

The recipient has opened the email.

Clicked

The recipient clicked within the email.

Unknown

The email was sent, but the system cannot confirm its status. Common reasons:

  • Recipient’s security or privacy settings block tracking

  • Email client prevents open/click tracking

  • External filters restrict status updates

Just click on the 'Check delivery status' in the audit log or the status within the email.


Summary

  • Undelivered / Bounced → Email did not reach the recipient

  • Delivered → Email reached the inbox

  • Opened / Clicked → Recipient engaged with the email

  • Unknown → Email sent, but status cannot be tracked
